Background checks completed
Trading history, references, reviews, relevant project experience and documentation such as insurance before any introduction is made.
Builder network
These are the standards we expect from builders in our network. They are designed to make the early stages of a project clearer for homeowners and fairer for builders.
Why this exists
Homeowners want to know who they are dealing with and how the early conversations will go. Builders want enquiries that match their work and a fair process. Setting out shared expectations from the start makes both easier.
Trading history, references, reviews, relevant project experience and documentation such as insurance before any introduction is made.
Quotes that set out scope, assumptions, exclusions and key dates so homeowners can compare them like-for-like.
Replying to enquiries within a sensible timeframe and keeping the homeowner updated through the quote stage.
Flagging where a brief is incomplete or unrealistic rather than producing a quote that sets the project up for difficult conversations later.
Treating homeowners, neighbours and other professionals with the courtesy expected on any residential project.
Working to the terms of the contract signed with the homeowner, including any agreed change-control process.
What sits outside our role
The building contract for the work itself is always between the homeowner and the builder they choose. We do not run the project, supervise the site or guarantee the works. Our role is the introduction, the background checks and the early-stage clarity.
Tell us about your project and we will introduce you to suitable local builders and help you compare their quotes.
