Contract Amendments
The contract between the homeowner and their chosen builder should be the single source of truth for the project. Side agreements that change scope, price or programme without being written into the contract create avoidable risk for both sides.
Keep it simple
- Use written variation notes for any material change.
- Avoid informal "we'll sort it later" commitments.
- Keep documentation together so the project history is easy to follow.
This is not about being heavy-handed; it is about removing grey areas before they turn into disputes. My Build My Way is happy to help homeowners understand any change a builder proposes during the quote or build stage.
