My Build My Way

Project Control & Ownership

How responsibility is shared between the homeowner, the appointed builder and My Build My Way once a project starts.

Roles And Responsibilities On A Project

When a homeowner appoints a builder we have introduced, the contract for the works sits between the homeowner and the builder. My Build My Way's role is to support both sides during the quote stage and to be a familiar point of contact during the build.

What the builder is responsible for

  • Workmanship and quality of the finished works.
  • Site set-up, programme and day-to-day delivery.
  • Labour, materials and any specialist trades they bring on.
  • Compliance with building regulations and health and safety on site.

What My Build My Way does

  • Introduces homeowners to suitable residential builders.
  • Helps homeowners compare quotes on a like-for-like basis.
  • Provides a familiar contact during the build if questions come up.

Why this clarity matters

Most build disputes come from unclear responsibility, undocumented changes or late conversations. Setting expectations early helps everyone keep the project on track.
