Subcontracting
When My Build My Way introduces a homeowner to a specific residential builder, the homeowner is choosing that builder to deliver the works. For that reason, the appointed builder should not pass the works on to another company without the homeowner being told and agreeing in writing.
Why this matters
- The homeowner knows exactly who is responsible on site.
- Insurance and accountability stay aligned with the builder named in the contract.
- Standards stay consistent with what was discussed at the quote stage.
Specialist trades
Most residential builders use specialist trades (electricians, plumbers, plasterers and so on). That is normal and expected. The point here is about the main builder relationship — the company the homeowner has signed a contract with should remain the one delivering and overseeing the works.
